Hills star Heidi Montag has given birth to her first baby, a little boy with husband Spencer Pratt.
The newborn boy arrived on Sunday October 1 and both he and Heidi are said to be doing well.
Spencer characteristically described his baby boy’s arrival as “officially the most lit day of my life”, while his wife told Us Weekly: “We are so blessed to have a beautiful healthy baby boy.
“It was the hardest and most rewarding experience.”
The proud parents have given their little boy possibly the most American name ever: Gunner Stone.
He was born at 6lbs 12 with a shock of blond hair and has blue eyes.
A rep for the reality stars added in a statement: “Heidi and Spencer are proud parents of a healthy baby boy as of this afternoon.”
Gunner’s arrival comes 18 months after Heidi and Spencer made their reality return to the UK’s version of CelebrityBig Brother – and ten years after they wed on MTV’s The Hills.
They announced Heidi was pregnant with their first child in May this year, with Heidi telling Us that she’d never been more excited.
“The reality is sinking in that we are going to have a child!” she went on.
“I’ve read every pregnancy book, and now I realise I don’t know anything.”
Spencer quipped that Heidi had been planning for her pregnancy for years, adding: “Heidi has wanted to be a mom since the day I met her.”
Heidi, 31, documented her pregnancy on social media, sharing pictures of herself and her bump throughout her journey.
“So excited to celebrate my first Mother’s Day!” she wrote on one snap. “Thank you to all you beautiful amazing moms for your endless love and dedication! Missing my mommy!”.
Heidi and Spencer had previously announced their baby’s sex in an interview with Us Weekly in May.
“It was in my heart to have a boy,” Heidi said. “I thought Spencer really used to want a boy, and then a few months ago we had a conversation where he said, ‘Let’s just make sure it’s healthy. Boy or girl, I don’t care.’
“I hope to have a little girl one day, but for my first child, I really wanted a son.”
